The Vaccines
This year, the Vaccines celebrate the 15th anniversary of their dazzling debut album What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?, featuring hits such as 'If You Wanna', 'Post Break-up Sex' and, above all, 'Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)', an energetic 1'24" track that infectiously links the Ramones with The Libertines. A lot of radio stations played the song twice in a row at the time. For the London-based indie rockers, their musical path has become much more than they had dared to dream when they started out back in 2011. Their first offspring now ranks among the most important British rock albums of the 21st century. The recipe has remained unchanged. Pick-up Full of Pink Carnations (2024) is brimming with highly combustible garage rock. They made it to the top five in Britain for the 5th time in a row.
