High Hi's path was not immediately strewn with roses. The hoped-for breakthrough album Firepool was released in March 2020, the month the world fell silent. The big second chance at Rock Werchter 2022 fell apart due to a faulty fuse. And yet it had started so well. In 2014, High Hi makes it to both Studio Brussels' “De Nieuwe Lichting” and the final of Humo's Rock Rally. The late Luc De Vos describes frontwoman Anne-Sophie Ooghe as a cross between Isabelle A and Suzy Quatro. And Joost Zweegers takes the power pop trio on tour. The rain is gradually stopping. With Noonday Demon (2026), High Hi underlines that the upward climb has begun. Live, meanwhile, there is the exquisite assistance of Charline D'hoore (Mayorga, Pommelien Thijs) and Daan Schepers (Eefje De Visser, Bazart).
