Mumford & Sons

Mumford & Sons breathed new life into the rich tradition of English folk and turned it into big city music for our times. They like to have a laugh about their own name, which they find far too solemn. Except for that, the London band has done everything right. Their combination of accordion, banjo and double bass struck a chord with half the world’s population. After ‘Sigh No More’ (2009), featuring the evergreens ‘Little Lion Man’ and ‘The Cave’, the trophy cabinet was already full. After that, Mumford & Sons developed patiently into one of the most important bands of the moment. Their last concert in Europe was back on 29 June 2019 at Rock Werchter. That evening’s live version of ‘Hurt’, a Nine Inch Nails cover, made it onto the ‘Delta Tour EP’ (2020). The current tour has been brought forward by a few days for Werchter and comprises only a few concert dates.
