Jane's Addiction

Jane’s Addiction belongs to the club of legendary American bands. Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine compares their impact with that of Nirvana. Korn, Smashing Pumpkins and Tool also cite the band as a crucial influence.  Unfortunately, the praise they received early on was damaging. Promoting their masterful ‘Ritual De lo Habitual’ (1990), which included the indie hit ‘Been Caught Stealing’, took so much out of frontman Perry Farrell that he threw in the towel. But not before a farewell tour with befriended cult bands like Body Count, Nine Inch Nails and Rollins Band. The name of that tour was Lollapalooza, and it grew to become a major travelling festival. Jane’s Addiction reformed for the first time in 1997 and have come and gone since then.
