Tom Morello is a six-string kind of genius. Hailing from the US, this self-taught musician and his skill with a guitar have pushed the boundaries. He’s the inventor of an exclusive mix of funk, punk and hip-hop, and has a knack of drawing unique sounds from his instrument. Morello is best known from his years with Rage Against the Machine, the groundbreaking group that brought him to Werchter twice. He has also graced our stage as a guest with Audioslave and Prophets of Rage, and toured with Bruce Springsteen, whose ‘The Ghost of Tom Joad’ he still performs live. In fact, the Boss features on ‘The Atlas Underground Fire’ (2021), Morello’s second album under his own name. He has also covered AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’ in an unreleased duet with Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) – just to drive home what an impressive circle of friends the man possesses.
