One Coin costs 3.5 euros. You can purchase your Coins in advance, which also lands you an extra deal: for every 20 Coins purchased, you get one free. Promotion subject to conditions, valid until 27 June.

Within the Festivalpark, The Hive and The Hive Resort, you can pay for food and drinks with Coins, Rock Werchter's own digital currency. Coins can be purchased during the festival via the QR code on the tag of your festival wristband, via the Rock Werchter app or at the counters. One Coin costs 3.5 euros. After purchase, Coins will be added to the chip of your festival wristband and can be used immediately. Swipe your wristband at the reader at the drink and food stands to pay.

You can order Coins in several ways:

• You can buy them in advance via this link. If you buy Coins by 27 June, you get an extra deal.
• At the top-up counters. You can pay at the counters with any payment card or with the major payment apps. 
• Via the QR code on the tag on your wristband: Scan the QR code with your smartphone camera (not with your banking app!), follow the instructions and purchase your Coins.
• Via the Rock Werchter mobile app presented by Proximus

We have chosen this closed-loop system because it offers good stability, since the counters and food stands are not dependent on the connectivity of the payment terminals.

This system also represents an easy way to refund the 0.3 Coin deposit on reusable cups when they are returned. Anyone who brings 15 R-Pet bottles or cans to a recycling point will receive a Free Coin on their tag.

Our ‘menu’ is a work in progress. You can find an initial price list for food and drinks here. This list will be expanded regularly.

You can safely resell your ticket via Ticketmaster Resale. Coins will not be resold along with it. The ticket resold via this Ticketmaster service will get a new barcode. You can request a refund for any Coins you have purchased during the regular refund period.

Please note that if you have a festival ticket linked to Coins, and you choose to sell it through another channel than Ticketmaster Resale, the Coins will remain tied to the ticket. The new owner can use them. Be aware that trading tickets through unofficial channels is entirely at your own risk.

You can check your Coins balance at the bars, food stands and at the booths. Have you bought your Coins using a QR code and are therefore a registered user? Then you can view your Coins balance in the same way as well as a summary of your orders.

Would you like to set up a kitty with your friends? Then opt for the groupie card! Rather than loading Coins to your wristbands individually, collectively purchased Coins can be accumulated on a card. The groupie card is available at every top-up booth. A minimum top-up of 10 Coins is required to obtain this card. Now we just have to decide who’s getting the drinks 😉

Yes, you can request a refund from Thursday 11 July 2024 at 11 am until Thursday 25 July 2024 at 11.59 pm. After this period has elapsed, no refunds will be processed. Refunds are issued within a month of request. An administrative fee of 1 Coin is charged for refunds. You must register in order to request a refund.

The refund fee is 1 Coin. Every refund is checked, which requires handling. This and other service-related costs are included in the refund fee.

If you use up all the Coins on your wristband or card, you do not have to pay a fee, of course. 

Tip: It's quite easy to have a Coin balance of 0 at the end of the festival so you don't have to request a refund. Say you have 0.3 Coins left. Via the QR Code, app or counter, you can purchase an extra 0.7 Coins. With 1 Coin, you can then purchase a drink in an R-Pet bottle or can, for example.

You can log in with the e-mail address and password you used previously and then link your Rock Werchter 2024 festival ticket. Previous linked tickets will have disappeared from your account, as the relevant events have ended.

Yes, this payment system is secure.

A few additional tips to avoid :

• Don't share any pictures of your QR code or tag on social media.
• Create an account. As a registered user, you are protected against the loss of your card/bracelet (and thus your Coins). After a check of your ID and ticket, your 'lost' Coins can be loaded onto a new card/bracelet.

Have you registered as a user by loading Coins onto your band or card using the QR code or the mobile app? The helpdesk staff can block the card or band of a registered user. After a check of your ID and ticket, your 'lost' Coins can be loaded onto a new card/bracelet.

Have you bought Coins at the ‘top-up’ booth and are not a registered user? Then both band/card and the Coins on it have been lost and we cannot transfer your balance.

Our wristbands have been equipped with tags for several years. On entering the festival you receive a tagged wristband when you scan your festival ticket. The tag in your wristband is literally your key to the festival from that point on. The same way that, in the past, a fabric wristband, or longer ago even, a stamp served as proof of admission once the ticket was checked. The tag in the wristband is not linked to your data. The same applies to anyone loading Coins using the top-up booths. If you buy Coins using the QR code on your wristband, you have to register and certain details such as your email address are stored in order to enable the transaction.
