Greta Van Fleet

Greta Van Fleet is one of the most sought-after and acclaimed live acts of the moment. The band comes from Frankenmuth, an American town founded by Germans. This is also where Gretna – with an -n – Van Fleet lives; an older lady who has lent her name to a band that runs on blues, hard rock and soul. Three of the four members are related: twins Jake and Josh Kiszka and their younger brother Sam. The fourth is their childhood friend Danny Wagner. They are old souls in young bodies. Their epic seventies sound contains traces of Sam Cooke, Jack White and especially Led Zeppelin. Vocalist Robert Plant is a fan. Their latest – and third – album, ‘Starcatcher’ (2023) captures the urgency of Greta Van Fleet’s intense live shows. At the same time, the quartet make room for some mild experimentation.
