Simple Plan

Simple is beautiful. Simple Plan have honoured this principle for 25 years both in name and music. The Canadians make top-shelf punk rock. Things started happening for the Montreal band when in 2001 they were invited to join the now-defunct Vans Warped Tour, the largest travelling festival in the United States. They were assisted on their first album ‘No Pad, No Helmets… Just Balls’ (2002) by two greats in their field: Mark Hoppus (blink-182) and Joel Madden (Good Charlotte). Over the years, Simple Plan have shifted towards power rock while maintaining the same energy and tempos. In 2011, they somewhat unexpectedly made it into the charts with ‘Summer Paradise’, a duet with Sean Paul. An interesting fact: their very first concert in Belgium was Rock Werchter 2005.
