Prins S. en De Geit

A long time ago, Scott Breekhuizen lived in a tall tower block in the majestic city of The Hague. There, he met composer and producer Marne Miesen. Over games of table tennis, they discussed music with growing enthusiasm. Marne heard Scott’s demo and called in beat professor Daniel Ortgiess. Prins S. en De Geit was born, and the singles ‘Nacht’ and ‘Kinderboerderij (Keiblij)’ won them attention. With a sound like Drs P. and Spinvis on acid, the trio’s colourful universe appeared at major Dutch festivals like Lowlands and Eurosonic Noorderslag and soon made landfall in Belgium. “The Annie MG Schmidt of the nighttime world,” De Standaard concluded following their performance at Pukkelpop 2023. Live, they are the perfect representation of the titles of their first albums: ‘Rood Staan Hard Gaan’ (2022) and ‘Partijtje’ (2024).
