Eefje de Visser

Eefje de Visser’s music is a love triangle between Air, Cat Power and Björk. She has the cinematic qualities of the first, the inscrutability of the second and the originality of the third. It’s impressive how many artistic disciplines De Visser combines into one: a songwriter, a director, a guitarist, a choreographer… and always original. The urge to create something different and new doesn’t stop her from being accessible and experimental at the same time. The Dutch-language lyrics are, of course, excellent and have not seemed to prevent her making an impression in Germany and Switzerland.  Her first Rock Werchter promises to be a brand new show and the first new sounds since the release of ‘Bitterzoet’ (2020), the album that brought her as much praise as an artist can dream of in the Low Countries.
