MEUTE

MEUTE is a techno marching band from Hamburg in Germany. The eleven drummers and horn players do the job of a DJ but with acoustic instruments. This is what techno would have sounded liked if it had been invented a hundred years ago. The repertoire encompasses their own material and covers of the likes of The Blaze, Disclosure, Flume and Röyksopp. What started out as a bit of fun quickly became an international hype. In 2018, the marching band was one of the most in-demand festival acts in the world. Since then, the eleven-piece outfit has performed alongside the artists they cover a number of times. For example, they released the dance classic ‘The man With The Red Face’ (2010) with Laurent Garnier. ‘U guys are genius’, said the French superstar DJ afterwards.
