Jungle sets today’s tone. The echoes of their elastic dance music are heard everywhere. Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland planned to remain anonymous but that didn’t last long. Everyone wanted to meet the two Londoners. In hindsight, that was a stroke of luck for them. After all, Jungle have become audibly richer through collaboration. The approach has lifted the project, over the course of four albums, from fresh bedroom pop to one of the most respected dance acts of the past decade. Earworms like ‘Busy Earnin’’, ‘Casio’ and ‘Back on 74’ give the listener a merciless urge to dance, and are enhanced by visionary videos. The concerts are a simple matter of supply and demand. ‘People come to see us because they want to have fun.’ They are thusly treated to ecstatic jam sessions.
