Dropkick Murphys are one of the regular party fixtures at Rock Werchter. This enthusiastic gang generates fun from Irish folk, metal and punk. They got their name from a rehab clinic in their home city of Boston. The gentlemen have been blazing a trail of fun across the world for over 25 years. Belgium has always been a popular stop for the Bostonians. Their last albums ‘This Machine Still Kills Fascists’ (2023) and ‘Okemah Rising’ (2023) formed a double salute to the militant American folk singer Woody Guthrie. On this occasion, the band is going acoustic for the first time in 25 years; this doesn’t mean it’s going to be any less of a party.
