UPDATE - 6 July

Parking Aarschot is full. If you are coming to the festival by car and didn’t purchase a parking ticket in advance, please use one of the other remote parking areas in Leuven and continue your travel to the festival with a shuttle bus:

  • Parking Philipssite, Philipssite 2, Leuven (paid)
  • Parking Vaartkom, Engels Plein 32, Leuven (paid)
  • Brabanthal, Brabantlaan 1, Leuven (free)

UPDATE - 4 July

Traffic towards Werchter, in both zone BLAUW and zone ROZE, is experiencing slowdowns. Due to heavy rain overnight and this morning, accessing the parking areas is challenging. Note that all parking tickets are sold out. Without a parking ticket, you cannot park near the festival.  Please pick other transportation options!

There are quick and comfortable alternatives to using your car. Opt for a bike or public transport or use the remote Park & Bike parking areas.

Are you coming to the festival for just one day? Then definitely consider traveling by train. There are still tickets available for the night trains with destinations Brussels, Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp, Hasselt or Genk. Get tickets here.

Are you still coming by car?

  • If you have purchased a parking ticket: follow the instructions on your ticket and use the QR code to reach the parking via Waze/Google Maps.
  • If you don’t have a parking ticket: use a remote parking area and travel from the Leuven or Aarschot train stations to the festival by shuttle bus:

Update - 25 June

Travel update: limited parking availability

Recent weeks and months of wet weather have affected our parking capacity. Some areas are too wet to fully function as parking spaces. Predicted summer temperatures are unlikely to sufficiently improve the situation. Therefore, we currently have fewer parking tickets available. Those who have already purchased a parking ticket are guaranteed a spot in the parking area of their choice. We are closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with parking operators. Additional parking tickets may become available in the coming days.

Please explore alternative transportation options for your journey to the festival. Alternatives to driving include cycling, using public transport, or taking advantage of Park & Bike facilities. All travel information here.

For those still planning to arrive by car, we recommend parking in Leuven (P Vaartkom, P Philipssite) or Aarschot (P station). Free shuttle buses to Werchter operate from both Leuven and Aarschot stations, both within walking distance of the parking areas.
