SOMBR

SOMBR is dubbed the rock star of Generation Z, but really he’s just Shane Boose: a 21-year-old New Yorker who learnt to make music in a makeshift bedroom studio on the Lower East Side. At night he recorded indie rock songs; by day he studied classical music and singing at La Guardia High School. In 2025, he made his global breakthrough with “back to friends”, which reached number one in the Spotify charts and earned him an MTV VMA for Best Alternative. His debut album ‘I Barely Know Her’, co-produced with Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, The Replacements), was also released. No fewer than three singles charted simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100. Things have moved quickly ever since: from his first headline show at Ancienne Belgique earlier this year to the Main Stage at Pukkelpop this summer, and nominations for all the major music awards. SOMBR has rapidly become a true phenomenon. His songs also pack a real punch when performed live. In May 2027, he’ll be bringing his ‘You Are The Reason Tour’ to a sold-out AFAS Dome in Antwerp. After that, the Main Stage at Rock Werchter beckons!
