Parkway Drive

Parkway Drive formed in 2003 on the street of the same name in Byron Bay, a famous Australian surfing paradise. The band started playing metalcore, a cross between heavy metal and hardcore punk. They won over their home crowd immediately. The five-piece headed for the United States from where they conquered the world, starting with ‘Ire’ (2015), an album strongly reminiscent of Rage Against The Machine. Their latest album ‘Darker Still’ was one of the best-loved metal albums of 2022. Belgium has a special place in the Australians’ hearts. They considered their show at Graspop Metal Meeting 2023 to be their best yet. Fun fact: the sleeve of ‘Reverence’ (2018) is a detail from a Rubens painting, which they have now seen with their own eyes in the KMSKA (Antwerp).
