Jessie Murph

Jessie Murph audibly hails from the deep south of the United States. She takes her first artistic steps in Nashville, the self-proclaimed ‘music city’. Her music is an unpublished blend of country à la Taylor Swift, dark soul ballads à la Lana Del Rey and no-nonsense pop à la Rihanna. Then again, her voice is fairly reminiscent of Amy Winehouse. Murph's lyrics are remarkably frank and mature for a fledgling twenty-something. By no means does she avoid the tough themes on her first albums That Ain't No Man That's the Devil (2024) and Sex Hysteria (2025). Depression, emotional blackmail, toxic relationships, addiction... they're all covered. Murph manages to bring a certain lightness to it and compensates with her infectious cheerfulness.
