FKA twigs

Tahlia Barnett's friends call her 'twigs' because she can make her joints creak so loudly. The Brit is something of a contortionist who can be seen dancing in clips by Jessie J, Kylie Minogue and Ed Sheeran. But above all, she wants to sing. For years, Barnett spent every spare moment in the recording studio. It paid off. In 2014, she made R&B exciting again on LP1, an album with a fine aesthetic and a high lust factor. Her stage name is FKA (Formerly Known As) twigs (small t). Another Twigs had in fact lodged a protest. Her latest exploit, Eusexua, (2025) is yet another particularly transcendent artistic experience. Think Björk and Kate Bush being dragged to the world's best disco and then losing all sense of time and space there.
