Dogstar

Dogstar seems to keep getting the timing wrong. During its early life in the 1990s, it was a seventies guitar group in an era where grunge reigned. Today, it is an alternative grunge band in a period dominated by EDM and R&B. It all started when (the one and only) Keanu Reeves got talking to fellow actor Robert Mailhouse in a Los Angeles supermarket. The conversation began with hockey and ended with a jam session in a garage. Their first group names were Small Fecal Matter and BFS (Big Fucking Shit). But Dogstar does seem to have a slightly better chance of offering work. After their second album Happy Ending (2000), they unfortunately broke up. COVID provided the rehearsal time to restart the engine. Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees (2023), as the title of their reunion album says.
