A Perfect Circle

Maynard James Keenan divides his talent among several projects. One of the common features they share is that they have all been at Rock Werchter: Tool has appeared there four times so far, Puscifer in 2023 and A Perfect Circle for the first time in 2000. The latter is above all Billy Howerdel's group. The talented musician and producer toured with Tool as a guitar technician in 1996. He had plans for his own rock band. ‘Then I want to be the singer’, says Keenan. Howerdel was actually thinking of having a female singer but accepted the offer. A Perfect Circle's debut album, Mer de noms, (2000) sold more than a million copies. Tool's great success hampers growth. But as soon as they can, the quintet is on tour. Even if there is no new material in sight, as is the case now, they just keep playing. In fact, the last performances date back to 2018.
