Cian Ducrot

Cian Ducrot grew up in Ireland as the son of an Irish father and a French mother who was a celebrated concert pianist and flautist. These musical genes were passed on. As a young man he won a scholarship to the renowned Royal Academy of Music in London. However, on a trip to Los Angeles he decided to trade classical music for pop. He became a singer-songwriter and choose Ducrot, his mother’s name, for his stage name. ‘All For You’ (2022), a duet with British singer Ella Henderson, became a hit on TikTok and Ed Sheeran asked him to join his UK tour. Ducrot’s début ‘Victory’ (2023) went straight to number one in the UK and Ireland upon release. He recorded it in Paris because of his mother’s deep connection with the city. Even so, he sounds undeniably Irish.
