Your festival ticket includes one free train ticket for a return journey in 2nd class from a Belgian departure station to Aarschot or Leuven. From these train stations, free shuttle buses from De Lijn will bring you to the festival.

Please note: your festival ticket itself is not a valid train ticket!

Night trains

After each festival day, NMBS/SNCB runs 3 night trains from Leuven. For these night trains you need a special Rock Werchter e-train ticket. The free train ticket is not valid on these night trains.

The night trains depart from Leuven railway station every festival day, at exactly 1 hour and 50 minutes after the end of the last concert:

  • Leuven – Brussels (North/Central/Midi) – Ghent-Saint-Pieters – Bruges – Ostend
  • Leuven – Mechelen – Kontich-Lint – Mortsel – Antwerp (Berchem/Central)
  • Leuven – Tienen – Landen – Sint-Truiden – Hasselt – Genk

The special e-train ticket for the Rock Werchter night trains costs €15.00. Buy your ticket via nmbs.be/rockwerchter from 10 June. The number of e-train tickets is limited per night train. All information and conditions on nmbs.be/rockwerchter.

With your night train ticket you can also park for free for 24 hours in the NMBS car parks at the stations where the night trains halt.

Free shuttle buses - De Lijn

Free shuttle buses from De Lijn run back and forth between the stations of Aarschot/Leuven and Werchter. The buses run at the following times:

From/to Aarschot station (backside, Nieuwlandlaan):

  • Thursday 2 July from 8 am to 3 am
  • Friday 3 to Sunday 5 July from 8 am to 3 am
  • Monday 6 July from 7 am to 2 pm

From/to Leuven station (Diestsepoort):

  • Wednesday 1 July from 1 pm to 10 pm
  • Thursday 2 July from 8 am to 3 am
  • Friday 3 to Sunday 5 July from 8 am to 3 am
  • Monday 6 July from 7 am to 2 pm

TIP: If you want to go to the A1, C3 or C7 campsites, take the shuttle bus in Aarschot. If you want to go to The Hive campsite, it is best to take the shuttle bus from Leuven station.
