Linka Moja
Life is full of surprises. Emma Rothier studies economics at UCLA, the University of California. In her dorm, she makes fragile songs about heartbreak and the fear of failure. At a surf camp, she meets an elderly musician who entertains participants at meals. He is a friend of owner and surfing legend Kelly Slater. Emma asks the man if she can play a few songs on his guitar, too. Eddie Vedder is startled by the question but says yes. At the end, they perform “Where is my mind” by Pixies together. A year later, Rothier performs as Linka Moja at Ohana Festival, a three-day event co-curated by Vedder, and tours the United States as an opener for Greta Van Fleet and Roger Daltrey (The Who). Her debut Serial Monogamist is set for release.
