Cory Wong

Cory Wong was born holding a guitar. He is so intertwined with the instrument that he has a Fender Stratocaster bearing his name. Wong hails from Minneapolis, hometown of Prince. With whom he shares a super-elastic right hand and the ability to create breathtaking grooves. In fact, Prince sees the young Wong at work a few times in a local club and praises him for his own colour on the guitar. The general public gets to know the string prodigy as a member of Vulfpeck and Stephen Colbert's house band on The Late Show (CBS). The virtuoso funk master has also immersed himself in jazz and rock along the way, combining hard study with a cocky but engaging stage presence. Instrumental music has rarely sounded so catchy.
