The five Australians prefer not to comment on the meaning of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, but you can guess the kind of music they make: psychedelic rock with provocative titles like ‘Lava Lamp Pisco’, ‘(I'm a Kadaver) Alakazam’ or ‘Nootmare (K-I-L-L-I-N-G) Meow!’. Their sound is often compared to that of popular compatriots like King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and Tame Impala. The psychedelic scene is pretty big down under. Psychedelic Porn Crumpets like to be called “an energetic jumble of colour and tone”. They obviously love The Beatles, Black Sabbath, grunge, Led Zeppelin, prog rock and experimental jazz.
