Noname

Fatimah Warner grew up in Chicago with the blues of Buddy Guy and Howlin’ Wolf. In her teens she wrote poetry and took part in open mics and slam poetry competitions. The step to hip-hop got smaller and smaller.  Warner started rapping verses under the stage name Noname. One of her buddies from the same city was Chance The Rapper, who won a Grammy Award in 2017 for his debut ‘Coloring Book’, on which she also performed. The way into the world was wide open and Noname took her chance. Her second album ‘Sundial’ (2023) showcases her many talents. She has shown herself to be one of the leading artists of her generation. Her lyrics are both poetic and political, and she surprises audiences by blending bossa nova, jazz and soul into her soundtrack. A name with a future!
