ISE

ISE is Ise Smeets from Bree, Flanders. She’s the daughter of musical parents and a megafan of Brutus, and dreams of a duet with Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters). She recorded her first single at the age of 16, with Mario Goossens (Triggerfinger) as producer. ‘To Stacy’ (2022) revealed her to be a remarkably mature artist. ISE does possess some superpowers: depth, authenticity, a stunning voice and stories that resonate with her generation. That can make things move quickly. In the summer of 2023 she appeared on posters for Bospop (Netherlands), Sziget (Hungary) and Pukkelpop (Belgium). ISE is also Kiewit’s first virtual headliner: she performed at the Roblox version of Pukkelpop. In the real world, she’s this year’s youngest finalist in De Nieuwe Lichting (Studio Brussel) and scored high on De Afrekening with ‘Goodbye Letter’.
