Stromae announced as first headliner for Rock Werchter 2023

Tickets go on sale on Saturday 29 October

The first name for Rock Werchter 2023 has been released! The Belgian music festival today announced proudly that global star Stromae will headline the festival’s opening day on Thursday 29 June.

Stromae is one of today’s most exciting live acts. He made a big impression at the one-day festival Werchter Boutique earlier this year. Meanwhile, his Multitude Tour is at cruising speed. From Amsterdam to Paris and from London to New York, Stromae is playing the most prestigious venues. Everyone loves this Belgian artist. 

Rock Werchter 2023 will take place at the Festival Park in Werchter from Thursday 29 June to Sunday 2 July. Ticket sales start on Saturday 29 October, at 10 AM CET. Pre-registration – which gives subscribers early access to festival tickets – is open now. More names for Rock Werchter will be announced soon.

Stromae released his first album ‘Cheese’ in 2010. World fame followed in 2013 thanks to ‘Racine Carrée’. And then he suddenly stopped. Stromae only sporadically sought the limelight. For the launch of one of the collections of his fashion label mosaert, he released the song ‘Défiler’. In 2019, he performed ‘Arabesque’ with Coldplay during their album launch in Jordan. With his brother, he directed clips for Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa. Then, this year, Stromae made his grand return with the arrival of ‘Multitude’, his highly anticipated third studio album. It’s his own eclectic interpretation of world music. ‘Multitude’ sounds familiar but is more captivating than his previous works as Stromae is expanding his repertoire of sounds. In 2023, Stromae will be one of the must-see headliners of the Rock Werchter festival.
