The 2023 Rock Werchter line-up is really taking shape, with 30 new acts announced today. Every year, the festival puts together the best and most exciting line-up. Rock is the solid foundation for this eclectic programme that refuses to be pigeonholed and showcases established names alongside new talent. In Werchter all is possible.
New are: Iggy Pop, Röyksopp, Warhaus, Anna Calvi, Compact Disk Dummies, GAYLE, MEROL and Picture This for Thursday 29 June. Liam Gallagher, Ben Howard, Fever Ray, The Haunted Youth, Spoon, Squid, PUP, Hot Milk and Kelsy Karter & The Heroines join the line-up for Friday 30 June. Interpol, The Opposites, City And Colour, Dope Lemon, Mimi Webb and Touché Amoré come to the Festivalpark on Saturday 1 July. Lil Nas X, RÜFÜS DU SOL, The Driver Era, J.I.D, Baby Queen, Nova Twins and Ethan Bortnick join on Sunday 2 July.
Rock Werchter 2023 will take place at the Festivalpark in Werchter from Thursday 29 June to Sunday 2 July. Tickets are on sale from ticketmaster.be. About two thirds of the line-up has been revealed so far, with more on the way.
Also of note - Last week Rock Werchter was awarded the Green Operations Award at the European Festival Awards ceremony in Groningen. This prestigious annual prize recognises festivals that have made important contributions to sustainable event organisation. The panel of judges, none of whom is directly involved with any festival, said some extraordinarily positive things about Rock Werchter. Of course, sustainably organising a festival on such a large scale with a concrete plan of action deserves nothing but praise, hence the Green Operations Award 2022.
