Dominic Harrison has been called ‘the Johnny Rotten (Sex Pistols) of Generation Z’. This British artist in his twenties performs protest songs for today as YUNGBLUD. His genes have helped. His grandfather Rick played guitar with T. Rex in the 1970s and his father Sam sells vintage guitars. Dominic left school early to pursue his own studies in punk, ska and hip-hop. His sound recalls the rebel rock of The Clash, the flow of Eminem and the expressiveness of The Prodigy. The single ‘I Love You, Will You Marry Me’ (2017) rolled out the red carpet. His biggest hits have come alongside Halsey (’11 Minutes’) and Machine Gun Kelly (‘I Think I’m Okay’), with Travis Barker (Blink-182) as the third man. He caused a stir in early 2021 with a cover of David Bowie’s ‘Life On Mars’. NASA even used it as the soundtrack to its most recent landing on Mars.
