Hardcore had seemed somewhat uninspired in recent years. That changed immediately when Turnstile showed up. The five-piece presents vintage American hardcore with the fury of Rage Against The Machine and the panache of the young Red Hot Chili Peppers. They gradually started to flirt with hip-hop and electronica, without losing sight of their first love - hardcore – for a second. Their third album ‘GLOW ON’ (2021) is the highlight so far. The group has also received praise from unexpected quarters. The American rock magazine Spin named them Artist Of The Year; here, they are regulars on De Afrekening (Studio Brussel). ‘This is the music people need right now,’ says big fan Thibault Christiaensen (Equal Idiots). This is music for festivals.
