Thom Yorke Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes. That’s the trio Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich and Tarik Barri performing songs spanning Yorke’s solo works. Thom Yorke is amassing a fine back catalogue of his own outside Radiohead. He’s made three albums, written a soundtrack and formed the supergroup Atoms for Peace. One of the constants in his solo efforts is a complex pattern of beats overlaid with catchy baselines, frugal guitar riffs and his amazing falsetto. Another stalwart of the music industry is Nigel Godrich: Radiohead producer and long-time collaborator on Thom’s solo material, he is a talented musician in his own right. Godrich is on electronics and gadgets, Tarik Barri, audiovisual composer, is on video projections and Yorke moves between bass, guitar and piano. He has more of a floating role than he did in Radiohead. And, judging by his body language, he seems to enjoy it.
