The Last Internationale makes dirty rock with an outspoken political message, as a couple of titles demonstrate: ‘Battleground’, ‘Workers of the World – Unite!’ en ‘Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Indian Blood’. The New York duo gained a very interesting fan from the start. “It’s the lean, angry blues of the Black Keys with Rage Against The Machine politics. And badass frontwoman Delila Paz. I hope it becomes the biggest thing in the world.” These are the enthusiastic words of Tom Morello, the guitarist of Rage Against The Machine. The Last Internationale recorded their first studio album in 2014 with Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen) and then toured with such legends as Robert Plant, Neil Young and The Who. Their latest album is tellingly called ‘Soul on Fire’ (2019).
