The Faim come from Perth, the most remote city in the already remote Australia. The four met in music class in secondary school. John Feldmann rescued them from isolation. The producer of a whole bunch of eminent punk bands (Good Charlotte, Panic! At The Disco, The Used) posted a call-out on Instagram in the summer of 2016. He was looking for young bands with touring experience. While The Faim lacked this, their email charmed Feldmann. He invited the quartet to Los Angeles where he was impressed by their dedication and work ethic. The Faim signed a contract with a major record label and made their debut in 2019 with ‘State of Mind’, an album featuring lyrics by the likes of Josh Dun (Twenty One Pilots), Mark Hoppus (blink-182) and Ashton Irwin (5SOS). A good start is half the battle.
