Talk about a natural talent. Phoebe Bridgers is one half of Better Oblivion Community Center with Conor Oberst, one of the godfathers of American indie rock (Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk). She is also one third of the widely-praised female trio boygenius. And her first album came out five years ago on PAX AM, the personal record label of - another big name - Ryan Adams. She’s now on Dead Oceans, the home of Khruangbin, Slowdive and Strand Of Oaks. At any rate, the best is yet to come, as Bridgers is only 25. Her debut, ‘Strangers In The Alps’ (2017) was impressive. The follow-up has taken its time due to the amount of other work she’s doing. BBC Radio 6 has already declared it one of the best albums of 2020. For all those who like Courtney Barnett and Big Thief.
