Peach Tree Rascals

The whole world in a band. Peach Tree Rascals have roots in Mexico, Palestine and the Philippines. The five grew up as young second-generation Americans in the San Francisco Bay Area. They’re all about colour, happiness and sunshine. No wonder that they went viral on TikTok during full lockdown with ‘Mariposa’. This dainty pop song pushed their monthly total on Spotify from 500,000 to 3.5 million listeners. Mariposa is Spanish for butterfly and refers here to the Mariposa Grove, a forest of giant sequoias in Yosemite National Park. The group often go there to write songs, and also recorded their first album ‘Camp Nowhere’ (2021) in the holiday home of the parents of singer-rapper Isaac Pech. ‘Camp Nowhere is the place where you can do what you want and forget all the bullshit.’
