What would you get if Jeff Buckley joined Radiohead? The answer is Palace. The trio have played together since they were at school and feel a great kinship with Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes and Foals. Central to the group’s wellbeing is The Arch, a creative hub in North London. Palace have a studio there where they can work without having to watch the clock; what with the prices in London that’s quite a luxury! In 2015, the band made quite an impression at the Eurosonic talent festival in Groningen. They were introduced as ‘an epic-sounding band, full of grandeur but at the same time honest and full of integrity’. With their debut ‘So long forever’ (2016) they became labelmates of The Cure and Tame Impala and struck a chord around the world. ‘Life After’ (2019) sees them perfecting their nostalgic sound. Quite simply stunning!
