Christian Owens was barely seventeen when he hit the big stage as a professional dancer. For years, he shared the stage with the likes of Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga. In the meantime he worked under the radar on what he loved far more: making music influenced by Prince, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and The Smiths. Owens shared his first experiments with guitarist Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) when they toured with Rihanna. Nuno encouraged him to set free the singer-songwriter in him. Owens came up with the alter ego Owenn. ‘He’s the guy you can’t live with. But you can’t live without him either.’ His first single ‘Baby Girl’ (2021) is a tasty soul number in which the man shows off his beautiful crooner’s voice. Of course, the video has plenty of stunning dance moves.
