Jehnny Beth

This is the story of Nicolas Congé and Camille Berthomier. In 2006 the couple relocated from the south of France to London, where they released music under the name of John & Jehn. Camille also became the frontwoman for Savages, a role that Nicolas had turned down. The all-female quartet makes post-punk à la Gang Of Four and Siouxsie & The Banshees. The producer is… Johnny Hostile. The band brought us beautiful moments in Werchter in 2016 and 2017. Since then, Berthomier has done some work on the side as Jehnny Beth. She has recorded with Gorillaz, Julian Casablancas (The Strokes) and Trentemøller and performed with The xx. She’s even had time to work on her own material, somewhat in the style of Savages and inspired by the death of David Bowie. The producer is… Johnny Hostile.
