This is the story of Nicolas Congé and Camille Berthomier. In 2006 the couple moved from the south of France to London where they made music under the name of John & Jehn. Camille also became the frontwoman for Savages. This female quartet make post-punk in the vein of Gang Of Four and Siouxsie & The Banshees. They gave us some great times at Werchter in 2016 and 2017. Berthomier also took on a few side-projects under the name of Jehnny Beth. She has recorded with Gorillaz, Julian Casablancas (The Strokes) and IDLES and performed with The xx. Despite this she found time to work on her own material. Her solo debut ‘To Love Is To Live’ (2020) is based on the idea that artists live on in their work. This was prompted by the death of David Bowie.
