JC Stewart

A professional sad boy - that's how JC Stewart is described by his own sister. The singer-songwriter from Belfast in Northern Ireland specialises in converting intimate events into universal anthems. ‘Most of my songs start out as a conversation with someone. The challenge is to magnify them yet keep them personal.’ He certainly did that perfectly with ‘Have You Had Enough Wine?’, a carbon copy of a conversation with his former girlfriend. Despite his young age - he is 23 - JC can present an impressive list of commissioned work. His most incredible achievement thus far is ‘Hollywood,’ a song that he co-wrote for ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’ (2019), the million-seller by Lewis Capaldi, and which grabbed the attention of the management of James Bay, George Ezra and James Morrison. JC is in good company.
