Ego Kill Talent

Brazil is a country of great contrasts. On one hand, there is the sultry boss nova, on the other, brutal thrash metal. The benchmark for the latter is Sepultura. Drummer Jean Dolabella was briefly a member of that band but chose his own path. He started Ego Kill Talent with Theo van der Loo, a Brazilian guitarist of Dutch origin. The band name is an abbreviation of the saying ‘Too much ego will kill your talent’. Their sound is muscular hard rock with stoner elements. They are extremely popular in their native Brazil, having toured with both Metallica and System of a Down. Their new album - unleashed on the world this spring - was recorded in Foo Fighters’ 606 Studios. Fun fact: the members of the band like to swap instruments during the show.
