The band Deaf Havana loves the odd metamorphosis. In the past few years, the five musicians have moved through different musical stages from post-hardcore to alternative rock, playing power pop and classic rock during the transition phases. The constant changes in direction had the desired results. With their latest album, ‘Rituals’ (2018), Deaf Havana reached the Top 10 of the British hit parade for the third time in a row. But change is underfoot once again. Until now, James Veck-Gilodi composed songs on the acoustic guitar with constant input from the other band members. This time he came up with the titles first, then wrote the accompanying texts and finally composed the music. Only then did he involve the others. Remarkable but very beautiful: 5 of the 13 songs feature the London Contemporary Voice Choir.
