Dallas Green is a key figure in Canada's music scene. His journey started with Alexisonfire. In 2005 he combined that successful post-hardcore group with City and Colour, an alternative track for his more introspective material, reminiscent of Bon Iver, Bright Eyes and Iron & Wine. The name comes from Dallas (City) and Green (Colour). It’s fair to say this project did well - his first record ‘Sometimes’ won a Juno Award – a prestigious Canadian music prize – for the best alternative album of 2005. The follow-up album ‘Bring Me Your Love’ (2008) includes the late Gordon Downie of The Tragically Hip. Even more remarkable is the collaboration with P!nk under the name You+Me. P!nk chose City and Colour as the support act for her 2010 European tour. These days, Green easily fills large venues on his own.
