Bring Me The Horizon

For many decades the English city of Sheffield was famed for its steel production. So it’s no wonder that the most popular British metal band of the moment comes from there. Bring Me The Horizon (also known as BMTH) made its name as of 2004 with death metal-steeped metal core. The name of the group comes from the Disney cartoon ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’. With every album the fivesome conquer another piece of land. Their 2013 release ‘Sempiternal’ resulted in the big breakthrough. The group injects elements from prog rock and ambient and achieves a perfect balance of aggression and atmosphere. ‘Sempiternal’ debuted high in the American and British hit parades and was followed by an intense world tour. On ‘That’s The Spirit’ (2015) the  decor changes yet again and the world of Bring Me The Horizon expands yet again. The single ‘Throne’ was a ‘Hotshot’ at Studio Brussel and everyone become a fan during the 2016 edition of Rock Werchter. This is followed by ‘amo’ (due for release in January 2019). Vocalist Oliver Sykes: “amo is a love album that explores every aspect of that most powerful emotion. It deals with the good, the bad and the ugly, and as a result we’ve created an album that’s more experimental, more varied, weird, and wonderful than anything we’ve done before.”
