A great musical career often starts in the parental record collection. Ben Howard is a good example of that. The British artist found classic works at home by such names as Jackson Browne, Van Morrison and Simon & Garfunkel and became a singer-songwriter. The fanatic surfer studied journalism for a while before deciding to concentrate on music. His dreamy folk songs have warmed many a heart in this country. He played six times in the AB in Brussels between 2010 and 2012. 'A tender triumph (****)’ was the headline in the De Morgen newspaper following Howard's concert at Rock Werchter 2013. ‘Top performance! What a future this man has ahead of him!’, noted De Standaard. And then things went quiet for a long time. Howard was forced to call in sick ahead of Rock Werchter 2015. Since then he has mostly been occupied by A Blaze of Feather, the group he started with members of his live band. He is finally back after a wait of five long years.
