The most popular Dutch-language band of the ‘20s. Bazart makes English-language music in their mother tongue. With the genes of Gorki and the impact of Clouseau. The trio broke through in late 2015 with ‘Goud’. ‘Liever snel naar de hel dan traag naar de hemel’, goes the refrain: better to go to hell quickly than to heaven slowly. They found heaven quickly. Their debut ‘Echo’ (2016) entered the Ultratop at number one. No other Belgian newcomer had done that previously. They played sold-out shows in the largest venues in the country. Following this lightning start, the trio prepared for a marathon. Bazart is played on all the national radio stations today and is building a loyal following in the Netherlands. Their second Werchter appearance is in support of their third album ‘Onderweg’ (2021); a record on which they sound simultaneously very mature and fervently ambitious.
