A metalband from Australia. It goes without saying that their role models are AC/DC. But Airbourne are also inspired by the other bands from the generation of the creators of ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ and ‘Highway to Hell’. Such as Motörhead, Judas Priest and Thin Lizzy. The band is the brainchild of brothers Joel and Ryan O’Keeffe. It took a long time to find like-minded souls in the small town they come from, a place called Warrnambool. But once they did, things happened fast. They recorded their debut ‘Runnin’ Wild’ (2007) in the United States with the celebrated producer Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper). The foursome liked America so much that they decided to move there for good in 2008. Their second album ‘No Guts, No Glory’ (2010) gained them a foothold in Europe. The album made the Top 20 in Scandinavia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This country fell in love with Airbourne during Graspop Metal Meeting 2010 and Rock Werchter 2013.
