Blink-182 are playing Rock Werchter 2017! That's on Saturday 1 July. On the same day we also expect Linkin Park and System of A Down at the festival. Rock Werchter 2017 takes place from Thursday 29 June to Sunday 2 July at the Festivalpark in Werchter (Belgium). So, that's six names in the bag now. Arcade Fire play Rock Werchter on Thursday 29 June, Radiohead on Friday 30 June, Blink-182, Linkin Park and System of A Down on Saturday 1 July and Foo Fighters on Sunday 2 July.
Blink-182, the most influential punk band in America in the 90s, have worked wonders with their provocative mix of sweet pop and raging punk. The likes of All Time Low, Good Charlotte and Paramore tell us they would never have come to be without this Californian trio. Blink-182 gained world fame in 1998 with the album ‘Enema Of The State’. Singles ‘What’s My Age Again’ and ‘All The Small Things’ are now sing-alongs on this side of the Atlantic. Four albums, a long break and a band change later, and ‘California’ (2016) is their best selling album. Number 1 in the US and Great Britain, a top 10 in Belgium. Nice figures for a 25-year-old band. This will be the band's second time at Werchter, having first appeared in 2012.
