Rise Against

America. Land of hope, glory and hardcore punk. Rise Against come from the nest that has NOFX, Millencollin, Descendents and Bad Religion as godfathers. The vegan, non-drinking and non-smoking foursome from Chicago were initially called Transistor Revolt. The band signed a record deal with Fat Wreck Records, the record label of NOFX’s Fat Mike, and changed their name into Rise Against. After a bunch of well-chosen supporting act slots and a spot in the 2003 Warped Tour, they were promoted. ‘Siren Song of the Counter Culture’ (2004) was their first album for a major label which turned gold. With ‘Appeal To Reason’ (2008) and ‘Endgame’ (2011) they definitively left the underground scene and brought their melodious hardcore to all corners of the world. Both albums entered the Top 3 of the American charts. Rise Against also have no problems whatsoever in filling the AB in Brussels to the rim.
